About this event
Francesca Siracusa presents her first choreographic work, a duet built around the relationship between waiting and momentum. On stage, Erica Meucci and Miranda Secondari inhabit an intimate, sparse space, accompanied by the sounds of Simone Faraci.
The movement emerges from an initial stillness, from the encounter between body and space, and unfolds through approaches, distances, pauses and returns. Dance seems to surface from silence, without seeking the urgency of gesture or continuous production. Between what is revealed and what remains hidden, the two performers move through solitude and connection, stillness and transformation.
A dancer, choreographer and member of the Laagam collective, Siracusa explores the body as a site for perceiving and reorganising space, time and the senses. Winner of the 2023 SIAE Per Chi Crea call, you, elsewhere creates an essential form in which waiting is not an empty suspension, but the point from which movement can begin.
