A piacer vostro

Bologna, 1999. The idea was raised to create a professional theatre company, whose actors were to be selected and trained among the patients of the Mental Health Department.

That is how the project Arte e Salute saw the light. The company, made up of actors/psychiatric patients, has been working under the direction of Nanni Garella since the year 2000 and has staged over twenty-five productions so far.
This time, the journey of the actors/patients starts from the Forest of Arden. This place cannot be found on geographical maps because it is either the world or the scene. The Forest of Arden is many different things at the same time. It is a map in which the past, the present and the future lose their central role or predominance. When confronted to its fantastic mirrors and to its representations, reality loses its connotation of truth.
