Turandot

The collaboration between ERT and the Chinese theatre tradition continues. This time, director Marco Plini is faced with the tradition of Peking Opera when revisiting the fairy tale of Eastern exoticism that is Turandot.
The show is a subtle game of mirrors between two worlds, apparently far but mutually attracted, both heirs of ancient civilizations, sophisticated and mysterious at the same time.
On the one hand, the refined actorial art of Peking Opera is a sublime mix of acting, dance and song, continuously pursuing perfection of the artistic gesture. On the other hand, the perspective look of an all-Italian invention, the visionary taste and the wisdom of illusionistic creation that have become a heritage of European theatre.
