In the dwelling of Mrs Gilz the signs of destiny chase one after the other chaotically, afar from their goal and negletting the reason of their eternal wander.
An amount of commerciants, families with wicked sons, naïve lovers, is squeezed in tiny chambers and restrooms – sold as small appartments, as houses for good middle class citizens – represents the ranting anthropology living in European territory in the early 30ies. 
An amused and apocalyptic masquerade, sketched by a young Canetti, depicting the ambitiousless neo mass society, which continuously looks for the strongest propaganda and for the cheapest fulfillment.

Lino Guanciale for his first direction chooses The Wedding: he analyses, through the lenses of a grotesque Canetti, the similarities between the lost humanity depicted in the text and the men and women from our “hard times”.
