About this event
With this choral performance, taken from Lo cunto de li cunti, Emma Dante concludes her trilogy on the imaginative universe of Gianbattista Basile composed of the previous Pupo di zucchero – presented in Cesena last year – and La scortecata. At the centre of the story, which mixes the grotesque, the comic and the tragic, is a king who makes the mistake of using a hen to wipe his backside: from that moment on, his life will be sucked in by the greed of both the animal and his frivolous court.
