Best Regards

About this event
Marco D’Agostin writes an impossible letter to Nigel Charnock, the British performer and choreographer, founder of DV8 Physical Theatre and a groundbreaking figure in contemporary dance. He met him in 2010, and from then on, his presence shaped the way D’Agostin thought about the stage: as a place where voice, body, singing, irony, pain and desire can coexist.
In Best Regards, the letter arrives eight years late, addressed to someone who can no longer reply. Yet from this absence emerges a secular, pop-infused tribute, charged with a restless sense of nostalgia. Alone on stage, D’Agostin does not build a monument; instead, he tries to keep a dialogue alive, to confront what remains of a master when the time to speak to him has run out.
The body becomes a blank page, a microphone, a dance floor, a song, a place where memory is not preserved but explodes. Moving between dance, spoken word, singing and gesture, Best Regards is both a farewell and a new beginning: a physical, melancholic and vibrant performance that transforms loss into an act of presence.
