Actors, authors and theatre directors, Enzo Vetrano and Stefano Randisi have been working together since 1976. Their research is based on group training work, improvisation, and collective dramaturgy as well as mainly focused on actors themselves. They have been developing a fine theatre craft, in which tradition intertwins innovative forms.
On this occasion, they chose to work with author Francesco Niccolini on the Shakespearean Riccardo, trying to pull it out from the English Middle Ages and bring it to present times.
As in the original Shakespearean works, evil is cloaked with irresistible charm. Now, what happens is that evil may either become invisible or even replaceble with good: in the age of fake identities and disguises (digital, analog, theatrical or domestic), even the most heinous crime is never easy to recognize or confess.
